Nature Play Home School
FOR CHILDREN (AGED 5 – 14) TO GATHER, CONNECT AND PLAY TOGETHER AT BUSH SCHOOL ON A FORTNIGHTLY BASIS.
Activities that will be explored during the year include:
- HOW TO USE HAND TOOLS SUCH AS HAMMERS, BOW SAWS, HAND DRILLS AND WHITTLING KNIVES
- HOW TO TIE KNOTS AND LASHINGS TO BUILD CUBBIES AND SHELTERS
- NATURE ARTS AND CRAFTS
- BUILDING FROM UP-CYCLED MATERIALS
- BUSH EXPLORATION
- LOOSE PARTS PLAY
- FIRE STRIKING, BUSH COOKING AND THE ART OF MAKING FIRE
- FLORA AND FAUNA IDENTIFICATION
- SEASONS AND WEATHER PATTERNS
- ENVIRONMENT AND WATER CONSERVATION
Details:
Session Duration: 2 hours during NSW school terms.
Suitable for ages: 5-14 years
Location : Kariong Eco-Garden – 2 Dandaloo St, Kariong, NSW.
Type: NON-DROP OFF (adults need to stay and play – drop off optional)
When: Fridays 12:30pm – 2:30pm
Dates: 14th Feb – 11th April
