Bush Play School
FOR CHILDREN (AGED 4 – 12) TO GATHER, CONNECT AND PLAY TOGETHER AT BUSH SCHOOL ON A FORTNIGHTLY BASIS.
Activities that will be explored during the year include:
- HOW TO USE HAND TOOLS SUCH AS HAMMERS, BOW SAWS, HAND DRILLS AND WHITTLING KNIVES
- HOW TO TIE KNOTS AND LASHINGS TO BUILD CUBBIES AND SHELTERS
- NATURE ARTS AND CRAFTS
- BUILDING FROM UP-CYCLED MATERIALS
- BUSH EXPLORATION
- LOOSE PARTS PLAY
- FIRE STRIKING, BUSH COOKING AND THE ART OF MAKING FIRE
- FLORA AND FAUNA IDENTIFICATION
- SEASONS AND WEATHER PATTERNS
- ENVIRONMENT AND WATER CONSERVATION
Details:
Session Duration: 3 hours during NSW school terms.
Suitable for ages: 4-12 years
Location : Kariong Eco-Garden – 2 Dandaloo St, Kariong, NSW.
Type: DROP OFF (adults can choose to stay but not required)
When: Fortnightly on Thursdays 9:30am-12:30pm
Dates: 9th May – 4th July
Cost: $225 for the term (5 sessions) or $50 casual visit – Sibling Discount and Payment plans available
