Our Bush Kindy is a 3hr program for children 3-6 years during school terms. Our program aims to provide children with hands on experiences and free child-led play opportunities. Our educators will support your child’s learning and interests in nature through a variety of activities.
Activities may involve:
- Natural Elements (Earth, Fire, Water, Wind)
- Hand tools – pen knives, hand drills, hammers, saws
- Flora and fauna identification
- Large Loose Parts play
- Eco crafts and nature journaling
- Knots and shelters
- Fire striking, how to build a fire, how to cook on the fire
- Food preparation
- Stories and songs
- Sensory play
- Bush games
Session Duration: 3 hours during NSW school terms.
Suitable for ages: 3 years to 6 years (must be toileting – no nappies)
Location : Kariong Eco-Garden – 2 Dandaloo St, Kariong, NSW.

This program is led by Jess, a passionate Primary School Teacher and soon to be a Forest School Leader. She has a wealth of experience working with children and a wonderful ability to connect with children and follow their lead to explore, discover and learn in the outdoors.
